Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited (ICBC) is a Chinese commercial bank whose official history dates its establishment to January 1, 1984. [1] The bank was wholly restructured as a joint-stock limited company on October 28, 2005 and was listed simultaneously on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on October 27, 2006. ICBC’s 2025 business overview says the bank serves more than 14 million corporate customers and more than 780 million individual customers with financial products and services. ICBC’s public service structure includes personal banking, corporate banking, e-banking, and bank-card services. [3] Its 2025 A-share annual-report materials show total assets of RMB 53,477,773 million at year-end, equivalent to approximately RMB 53.48 trillion, and net customer loans and advances of RMB 29,712,359 million.
