AECOM is a global infrastructure consulting and professional-services company that was formed in 1990 through the merger of five entities. AECOM says many predecessor firms had histories extending more than 120 years, that more than 50 companies have joined the organization since its formation, and that it became publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange in 2007. The company's 2025 Form 10-K describes services including advisory, planning, consulting, architectural and engineering design, construction and program management, plus investment and development services. AECOM provides these services to public and private clients in transportation, facilities, water, environmental and energy markets, working across the project lifecycle rather than focusing on a single construction trade. [2]

AECOM reports its continuing business through Americas, International and AECOM Capital segments. The Americas segment serves public and private clients in the United States, Canada and Latin America, while International covers Europe, the Middle East, India, Africa and the Asia-Australia-Pacific regions; both include planning, design, consulting and program-management work across major infrastructure end markets. [2]

For fiscal 2025, AECOM reported record profitability and double-digit earnings-per-share growth, and its annual-report summary lists a $23.4 billion design backlog and an 80% win rate on its largest pursuits. The company says its Sustainable Legacies strategy guides work on climate resilience, carbon reduction and disaster recovery, while its current strategy also emphasizes investment in artificial intelligence for infrastructure delivery. AECOM's corporate headquarters are in Dallas, Texas. [3] [4]
