Tingyi
Tingyi (Cayman Islands) Holding Corp. is a Cayman-incorporated public company whose subsidiaries manufacture and distribute instant noodles and beverages in mainland China. [1] The group's instant-noodle business began in 1992, its instant-food and beverage businesses expanded in 1996, and its principal consumer-facing brand is Master Kong, known in Chinese as Kangshifu. [1] Tingyi was listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong in February 1996. [2]
Tingyi's beverage business has a major partnership dimension. [1] Its corporate profile says the group formed a strategic alliance with PepsiCo in March 2012 for beverage operations in China and became responsible for exclusively manufacturing, bottling, packaging, distributing and selling PepsiCo soft drinks in the Chinese market. [1] The 2024 annual-report group structure lists multiple PepsiCo beverage subsidiaries alongside Tingyi's noodle and food subsidiaries. [2]
The 2025 corporate profile reports a nationwide distribution system of 355 sales offices and 262 warehouses serving 57,609 wholesalers and 287,037 direct retailers as of December 31, 2025. [1] It presents logistics and sales coverage as central to the group's ability to distribute products and introduce new products across China. [1]
Tingyi's public sustainability materials also describe a food-safety and quality-management system and identify a central research institute, instant-noodle R&D center, beverage R&D center and basic-research department working on food safety, nutrition, process optimization and product innovation. [3] The company is therefore best characterized as a food-and-beverage manufacturing, distribution and investment group whose Master Kong brand and PepsiCo alliance operate within a broader subsidiary network.
